With more and more women in decision-making
roles and relationship development positions, it's no wonder
that we're seeing more women out on the golf course. Similar
to men, women want to know the best courses to play where
they can maximize their playing experience. And if you're
a businessman trying to seal the deal with a female client
or prospect, you too want to know which courses will offer
a challenge and keep her on par at the same time so that
you can forward the relationship.
The Forward Tee Perspective™ utilizes
an 8-flag rating system, addressing areas related to the
golf facility: quality of practice facility, on-course rest
rooms, amenities by the forward tees (or on the golf carts),
overall customer service experience, the facility itself-
selection of women's items in pro shop, locker room facilities,
and the ability to post scores; and skill factors: the variety
on par-3s, multiple tee choices for women, and the amount
of carry.
The best possible rating for each golf course
is 8 flags (points), one flag (point) for meeting each of
the eight designated areas mentioned above. The facility
rating factors and the skill ratings factors are totaled
separately and then combined for an overall flag rating.
These distinctions should help you determine which course
to play so that when you're making the tee-time, you can
consider who is in your foursome and how well the prospective
course matches your group.
The Forward Tee Perspective™ is published
in a regional golf guide and appears on the Golf for
Cause Website. Golf for Cause (www.golfforcause.com)
created the 8-flag rating system in association with Sue
Wieger of Lifetime Golf Connections (www.lifetimegolf.com)
and with input from the Women in the Golf Industry (WIGI)
membership. Golf for Cause and Lifetime Golf Connections
conducted the golf course evaluations. Golf for Cause
maintains the golf course rating information and welcomes
your feedback.
