"I recently participated in a scramble for the American
Institute of Architects local chapter. My new boss has been
great about signing us up for any/all tournaments because
he knows I am learning the game and for this one in particular
because I am an architect. My boss and I were paired for this
four person scramble at Karsten with two young 20 something
architects who announced that they intended to win the tournament
as they had in the past. This bummed me out a little since
I had to inform them I was a beginner. They said it was no
big deal since our scores would be handicapped.
Anyway - long story short - we won the tournament - 13 under
net score! They even used two of my drives, one chip to the
green, and one putt! What a fun day! The best part was they
commented on how great it was to play with a beginner who
appreciated pace of play and knew the rules/etiquette. Thanks
Debbie - you are the greatest!" - Allison Suriano
